is there any way I can make my jpegs less pixelated? they look fine when being edited but as soon as I upload they look very gross

Do you mean upload? or import into flash? These are 2 very different things.
You should have no pixelation if just uploading the image to a server. As for pixelated in Flash, that happens when you import it. To change this go to your library, right click on the image you want to look better, then select properties. Uncheck the smoothing box, and uncheck the Use Imported JPEG Data box. This will increase file size though, but if you need your images to look spiffy keen, this should help.
