I am creating a flash presentation and am using the publish feature ‘percent’ 100% & 100% but my graphics always get really blurry and pixely… is there any way to fix this? Some are .png and some are .jpg and the quality doesn’t change when published as ‘best’ or ‘high’…
thanks for any suggestions.
Are you scaling your movie to a larger size then what it was originally? If you do that then your images will become pixelated especially if they’re not vector images.
If you’re using a lot of bitmap images from a program like photoshop then whatever size layout you created in flash must remain that size when you export it out.
electrongeek - so if i design for the smallest screen res (800x600)that i am expecting to have used, will it look fine on larger screen res’s to or will the text become very small and unreadble as well?
i honestly hate having my screen res at 800x600 and hate it even more to design at that res…since i cant seem to wipe out all the users who choose this reslution …
If you’re designing it on 800x600, don’t make the text too small. This is something you’ll need to figure out with some trial and error, testing on different resolutions. Most of the time, there shouldn’t be a problem unless you decide to use a really small font on a 800x600, then it will be hard to read on anything higher than 1024x768.
Yeah, un-check the Use import JPEG data and visually set them. 80-90 should come out just fine.
For images that are dropped back or stretched you can reduce them more.
Also, make sure you keep the image size at 100% of what you imported it in at. If you start enlarging or shrinking them you will mess them up big time.
