I just started making a platform game in flash… So far … I’ve managed to make my character move and jump … I’ve made a platform… And it works… The only thing is that you can sink through the ground… if you hold a combination of buttons… the character sinks through the ground… or platform…
How do i make it so… that the ground is solid? That the character cannot pass through the platform?

to move around is the arrow keys… and to jump… you press “X”… If you hold X… you will see the character jump… but once he lands… he slowly sinks through the platform… this also happens if you tap the “X” button… along with another button… eg. crouch… “Down”… Hold “Down” while tapping “X”… will make it slowly sink…
How do i make it so it stays on the platform?
