Platformer developement help

[font=Verdana]Hi. I’m developing a platformer with tiles for backgrounds and chars that are either smaller or larger than a tile. For the actionscript, I tend to put the code to the object, if the code is object-specific, eg. moving code goes to the player char. So, could anyone assist me w/ tilemaking, collision detection for tiles and gravity things? And for your information, I use Flash MX 2004, so please put the codes in AS 2.[/font]
