My project freezes about 6 seconds into playing when I publish the project as an .exe from Flash CS5, burn it to a CD, and play it from the CD drive. Does anybody have any advice or explanation for this?
On two different occasions I have given Flash projects to a client in the form of an .exe file on a CD. Now the project loads fine on the web and from my desktop, but from a CD it will load normally for roughly 6 seconds(on both projects) and then pause for a good 10 seconds before continuing on without a problem. More often than not it even summons the Rainbow Wheel of Death for Mac users and Not Responding for PC users.
There is a endless looping animation that is used for the preloading only, and it freezes for that same 10 second window, before continuing on without a problem ever again.
