Playing movie clips?

Ok, so what I’m trying to do here is play my little movie/animation and then when it gets to (I.E.) frame 75, I want a movie clip to begin playing.

BUT

I don’t want it to play by having to press a button or anything.

I want it to begin playing, and continue to play WHILE the viewer is reading the text in the screen.

How would I do that?? I’ve tried TellTarget and GoandPlay and neither seem to be working (or I just might be doing something wrong).

Can someone help me out with this please? It’s driving me nuts.

why don’t u create a new layer and place ur movie at that layer’s frame 75?

Still doesn’t work.

It only plays the first frame of the movie clip, then it just keeps on going normally.

Do you have a stop action on the first frame of your movie clip? If you did then that’s probably why it’s only playing the first frame of the movie clip.

Try making your movie clip layer start on frame 75, and extend for as long as you want it to play. If it doesn’t extend to at least as long as the movie clip timeline plays, it might not play the entire MC on the _root timeline.
