Hey,
I have designed a new template for my website that I will going to use throughout my entire website. I was told that if I had to make some changes to the copyrighted information, or add a new banner or something like that then all I had to do was change it in the main template and it would make the change throughtout my entire website. I am editing webpages offline and I am not using the built in feature which enables me to update directly on my webserver. When I make a change in my template, it asks me whether I would like to update all the pages. Surely, I clicked yes and it showed no errors BUT I can’t see any changes either. Can anyone help me with this problem and tell me how I can fix this. Do you think that if I directly update the website on the webserver then it will show the updated pages. Please Please Please help me out.
Also, the information I am trying to change is in editable region on my template. And surely I have reduced the size of my template according to the size of my articles. So even though I am using the same template, I am not using the exact sizes. I am changing the sizes according to my article or review size. Let me know if this helps any.
i’ve tried it here to make a template and than make 2 pages
than i changed the template and the 2 pages did change aswel
you may only change the NONE-editable region of the template.
the editable region is the region that is different for every other.
so if you change this it will not make a diffirence in the result pages.
and when you save the template you have to select in the popup “look in: ENTIRE SITE”.
auto it is set at “Files That Use…”.
and than press “start”
Would you please stop creating new threads on the same subject :sigh: Even though they may be on different aspects, the subject is Templates in general and anyone who knows about them should be able to help you with the questions (maybe). It gets annoying and confusing when you keep creating threads on the same thing.
