PNG files look like crap?

Hey, i have been working on flash for awhile, but i just started using png files with alpha channels, and everytime i publish them in a flash file they get a jagged pixel looking effect if viewed on particular machines, the site i am working on is not near done but check (www.troyblank.com) and look at the orange, my tube monitor with 256mb graphic card makes it look smooth without any jaggedness, the plasma screen with a close to identical 256mb card at work makes it look slightly jagged, i have no idea what is the cause of this, has anyone else experienced this?

try changing the picture properties (at libary)

there should be Compression: Photo (JPEG), change it to Compression: Lossless (PNG/GIF)

i hope it’ll help :sigh:

also might want to uncheck “Allow Smoothing”

Also make sure you’re not shrinking down the image in Flash either. It’s best to have the original image the exact size that you’re going to be using it at in Flash. Just check the Transform properties and make sure it’s at 100%.

thanks, i will try thus, the image is at 100 percent so that’s not it, but i have not taken the smoothing off, that might be what’s causing it, i will try it soon
