Pop-ups and redirections

I’m terribly new to flash (I just began tutorials for it last week), though I have made two all-flash webpages so far. The latter of the two, however, poses a problem. It’s a site I designed out of practice for a local gift shop, and yes, I know the functions involved in it are very simple; that is not my problem. My problem is with the pop-up windows that are used to show the gifts in the “merchandise” section. When viewed under the site’s true address, http://sonmi.150m.com/csu/, the popups work fine. However, when the redirection URL is used, http://crystalseaurchin.cjb.net/, the popups don’t even begin to work. Is there some extra code that I need or alter to make it work? The code I use for each of the images on the flash file is

on (release) {
getURL (“javascript:openNewWindow(‘http://sonmi.150m.com/csu/gifts1.html’,‘gifts1’,'height=300,width=400,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no’)”);
}

or something similar. If anyone can see reason for this problem to occur, I’d very much appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks in advance!

why dont you just use the original path instead of the redirection URL? I mean they wont really be able to tell where its comming from as long as looks like part of the site =)

whoa raydreds single ladies! what a catch he is!

it just seems more professional having a cjb.net address instead of being slashed after something. it’s not really my call in that case either. If they didn’t care that their address was sonmi.150m.com/csu/ , then I wouldn’t either! (it’s an account of mine that it is hosted on)

Hello Julia,

I’ve read your problem at the forum of Kirupa.com concerning the popupwindow is working on your orginal webadress, but not to the domainname what is related to it.

I’ve got the same problem too…do you have already a solution for this. Please if it is so, please can you explain me by reply. I would appreciate your help very much, because it is already nightwork for 2 weeks.

Thanks in advance

Arthur
