i’ve made a fairly large flash site with about 6 different scenes, all containing a number of images, etc. so, obviously it takes a while to load.
now here’s my problem, i’ve made a preloader movie within all of this, put it in the labeled “preloader” scene, and moved it to the top.
problem is, when i test it live, the flash takes a while to load on the site and shows a blank screen in the process, and then it shows the preloader quickly and then the first scene. it’s like it’s pointless to have the preloader because it’s not even showing up during the loading. in addition, the scene it goes to has buttons on it, and when you click one of them it flashes the preloader movie briefly.
i don’t get what i’m doing wrong. i’ve looked at all the tutorials, but they don’t help because i’m not loading a simple movie after the preloader. i’m loading my entire site.
any advice??
