I’m using the Percentage Preloader off Kirupa, and though it works, I’ve found a slight problem that I’m not too sure if I should post here or the MX forum, but anyways:
I’ve decided to simulate a 56K download, and noticed that the preloader doesn’t pop up until around 60 or so %.
I opened up the bandwidth profiler, and noticed that the first frame already takes up 12k.
But I copied the code/symbols directly from the example FLA.
How can I lower the initial load?
One note though, I have this one movieclip that is linked in for actionscripting, using the “linkage…” thing, and if I deselect the option: “export in first frame”, my script doesn’t work.
Any way around that? Perhaps load the MC in the 3rd frame?
