Hi, i have a problem with one of my flash files, it is 40mb in size, this might be because it had pictures on it, so i deleted all the pictures and it is still 40mb, what is going on here, that page has 6 rollover buttons and 1 or 2 movies, and thats it , i don’t understand why the file size is so big, it takes ages to load up, can anyone tell me what might be causing this?
fla? fla files retain all information of everything you ever used in it from the moment you first saved the file. If you want to get rid of this redundant information, then you will need to save the fla under a new name using save as. This will ‘save and compact’ the fla file.
Cool thanks man! I have another problem regarding the scrolling of an external file, i want the typewriter affect to appear in a box and then i want the user to be able to scroll down to see the rest of the text and pictures. heres the fla, look under scrollingmovie in the library of this fla, if u could help i’d be very greatful, cos i know ur one of the better guys at flash, u might be able to do it!!
