Hi I have a problem with my font quality. I have an interface and in the middle i have a window displaying external flash files, but the quality of the font in the externals is not very sharp. I have embed the text so that it actually shows up, and i have made it dynamic text, on even co ordinates, i’ve tried it all but with no luck, has anybody got any suggestions?
What font are you using? If it’s a common font like Arial then you don’t need to embed it, you can just set it to dynamic text and it would look crisp.
I am using square74 something , can’t remember the full name, but it is the space age sort of text!
Make sure whatever object that contains your textbox is placed on whole cordinates as well. So if your text box is inside a movieclip, the text box and the movieclip both need to be on whole x and y cordinates.
Also some fonts require that you use it at an even size like 4, 6, 8…etc
Also, it might not be a pixel font…
How would i go about making it a pixel font without reffering to any ****ty tutorials?
You can’t make it a pixel font, either the font is a pixel font or it’s not. If you want a pixel font then I suggest checking out www.fontsforflash.com
The problem happens after i embed the text, but u see i have to embed the text so that it shows up when i am viewing the external through my interface, is there any ways around this, i want my text to be better quality!
