I’m not 100% sure that this is where this goes, but I am using Flash CS3, so I might as well post it in here…
I’ve got kind of a weird problem with the v-cam (the O’Reily one): I’ve got a movieclip inside of a movieclip inside of a movieclip, and when I try to play it, the v-cam’s center moves to the bottom-left of the stage. I have no idea why it’s doing this; the clip-in-the-clip-in-the-clip is a small piece of animation that I put into a reel of a bunch of different pieces of animation (the clip that it’s inside), and then that reel was put into a website I’m working on (the clip that the reel is inside), but the reel itself is its own .fla, and when I play the reel by itself, there’s no problems with the v-cam; it zooms and pans perfectly. However, when I play it in the website, it moves the camera down to the bottom-right of the stage (it is the bottom-right; ignore the ‘bottom-left’ I wrote previously, as the forum won’t let me go change it without deleting this entire post for some reason). Is there anything I can do to fix this?
And there isn’t any weird Actionscript or anything that I can think of that would affect this; I know next to nothing about scripting, so I try to use as little of it as possible, so I don’t think that that has anything to do with it, but if you want, I could post any AS that I put up there that may be affecting it. I didn’t change any of the AS in the v-cam, either, so I don’t think that that’s the problem; I’ve tried altering it a few times, but changed it back when my attempts to fix the problem without any real knowledge of scripting failed miserably.
