Problems Streaming mp3 Audio

Hey again. Seems all I have are problems…

Okay, working with a friend’s site, we’ve come upon a problem with streaming audio mp3’s. When testing locally, everything works fine, but in IE and Mozilla (at least), sometimes the mp3 stops loading before the actual end of the file, like at 60 or 150 seconds on a 336-second song.

Anybody know if this is a Flash issue, or something to do with the server perhaps? It’s happened on two separate machines and ISPs.

Guess what I just learned? If your server sucks, so will your streaming audio.

My friend’s server, brinkster.com, kept cutting off the download, while my much more affordable server, crazytechnology.com, hasn’t had a problem with the files.

The moral of the story is: the problem’s always the server. Always. The developer is always right.
