So I want to get into progamming a lot more than I currently am. Right now I can basically mangle PHP and MySQL to do what I want it to do, but I’m not really efficient or anything. So I figured it was time to branch out and try something different instead of just sitting around waiting for PHP to really click.
That’s what lead me to Python.
My understanding is that I could use Python to make computer programs as well as code backends for websites in it. I know the first part is true, but what I’m curious about is writing a website is python. Is that possible? I know there are things like django which are frameworks built upon python, so it would seem that it’s possible. Am I wrong though?
I guess it’s really either this or Ruby on Rails but for some reason I want to learn Python first, even though ultimately I’ll want to know both.
I clearly don’t know what I’m talking about so let the bashings and LAWL IDIOTs begin.
