I have felt that Queen and Styx are similar in their sound. Particularly in comparing the songs “Bohemian Rapsody” (Queen) and “Come Sail Away” (Styx). Both of those songs start slowly with piano and then kick it with guitars. I’ve read about BR being a lot like Stairway to Heaven but I think it is closer to CSA. Does anyone also think that Freddie Mercury’s voice sounds like Dennis Deyoung? Dennis’s is a little deeper, but they sound similar to me. The other thing that makes me say they sound the same is the way their back-up singers join in. Its all very hard to describe but I hope someone understands what I’m saying. Anyway, I’ll end just by saying that Queen is way better than Styx anyway.
