I am using the following:

I develop in Homesite, formerly of Allair,e bought by Macromedia and presumably now owned by Adobe as it was bundled with Flash. In Homesite browse view my iframe displays as it should in the middle of the current window. Uploaded my files to the server and in IE & FF the thickbox link spawns a new window. I must be missing something because the thickbox demo page http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/ does work in IE & FF.
