Question about website organization

I really don’t know where to post this. I was wondering which way is the best way to organize your website. I heard some where that your website should only use around the first 4 frames of the main scene and all the animation and content should be in movieclips. Can you guys give me ways you organize your websites? and i was also wondering if you could put a gallery in a movieclip?
