Hello.
I’m trying to add a flash effect that a user of our forums created. It’s a subtle ligth (wisp) following the mouse pointer and fits very well with the new style I am creating for the forum.
I can get it to show transparent over the page just fine using wmode=transparent, but we’re not able to click through it on the actual html links. Does anyone know if this is possible (I’ve read somewhere that AllowScriptAccess might do it, but no luck thus far)?
I’m at work now so when I get home I’ll post the html code I have in the hopes of someone pointing out my error. I will make a test page that is open to everyone and post the url as well.
Currently I am using Firefox PR1 for testing, but I tried I.E as well with the same results (I assume it’s I.E. version 6 as all Windows Updates are done, including SP2).
Any advice is appreciated. I would prefer to use Flash compared to JavaScript for this effect, but if it can’t be done I guess I’ll try and “convert” this Will o’ Wisp to JavaScript. The JavaScript versions I’ve seen are always so tacky and obtrusive though, so I’d be very happy to get this particular one working.
What do you guys think, is it doable, and is it wise (system rescource wise)?
Thanks
