Rain won't stop falling! Help!

Hi, I need a bit of help! I have a scene in which rain is falling, the rain has an action attached telling it to go back to frame 1, which then makes more rain fall and so on and so on. I then have a button along side to enter into the next scene, but because of the action for the rain the rain keeps on falling in the next scene. Is there any way of telling it to stop when entering into a new scene? Thanks in advance : )
