that I am really embarrassed to ask at this point. But, a deadline forces me to do so.
A couple years ago, I was a user of flash mx2004 for a while. I never got heavy with it, but i have made a number of web sites and whatnot with it, enough to say that I was familiar with how things worked. Even used quite a number of tutorials from this website during that time.
I admit I have not touched flash in a couple years. I just downloaded the 30 free trial of cs3 and trying to create a kiosk style site. But, I cant even get past a really stupid problem.
In mx2004, if I wanted to use actionscript to do a button, all I had to do was create an item on the screen, convert it to a button symbol, hit f9, and assign some onclick actions to it…
so i do that exact thing in cs3 and it is telling me that I cannot assign actions to the item.
I can assign actions to the whole layer, but not the button symbol.
What gives?
