I just whant to know what is the best/ recommended antivirus program(s) to use for a Personal Computer.

Im currently using Norton I think It is using many of the cpu and slowing the machine down but Im not sure.
In my machine sometimes when playing games like Flight sim 2000…etc the sound gets mest up and it repeat it self. In F/A-18 game the radio sound get to repeate it self. But the graphic gos well, my cpu is fast 2.8 p4 and I cant understand why, I thought it was from the soundcard but im not sure.
I downloaded the lastest driver and its the same. I tried to close many background running porgrams but Im afriad for the pc to crash or something.
Or norton is using plenty of cpu.
