A technical question here. I have around 3000 fonts on my computer, and roughly 400 are turned on. For some reason, though, Flash’s font menu shows a whole lot more than this. It correctly shows all the fonts that are actually on, but it lists at least a hundred more that I have turned off.
When I select one of these fonts to use, the text turns into a gray rectangle, which makes sense because the font isn’t on. So why the heck is it in my menu?
I use Linotype FontExplorer to manage my fonts. I’ve cleaned my system font cache, I’ve cleaned my application font cache, I’ve deleted Flash’s preferences. None of it changed the menu. Is there a way, short of reinstalling Flash, that resets the contents of Flash’s font menu?
