hey guys! ok so, last night i had a sudden burst of creativity that result in the link below. the website is eventually going to be my portfolio site. i wanted something simple, yet fun, funky, cool, modern, colorful, and functional. i think i have accomplished that. this is one of my best layouts ever and i am very proud of myself for making it.
now let me explain the layout in more detail: right now, it is one big image. i wanted to get your feedback before i start slicing it up and stuff. it will be a full flash layout. now you may view it, after viewing please read the below…

the animations will be as follows: it will be the grey bg with only the grey triangles in the top left corner and the grey ‘matthew riley’ visible while the rest preloads. then the 4 color bars will be unhidden with a funky mask animation i will create. this will aslo occur with the remaining titles and music player controls. the black figures on the screen will not all appear at once. i will have a seperate animation for each one. the music player is petty staight forward, however, there are two semi-hidden qualities that i like to keep somewhat hidden. they are that the volume is controlled by the elephant and the plus sign behind the orange bar will open up a full list of all the songs available for your listening pleasure. lastly, i have not fully decided how the 5 buttons and main content box will animate in and out, but i will make sure it flows nicely with the rest of the design. i do know how the button rollover animatons will work though. when the mouse is not on a button it will display only the number, then when rolloing over you will see the name of the page. on click for whatever page you go to, the title of the page will remain on the button until you click on another page which will reverse back from title to number.

p.s. im on my dads laptop because i cant get on kirupa.com on my computer. i have no idea why. i use to get on all the time, but now it shows ‘this page canno be displayed’ as if the site were down. does anyone know why this could be and how i can fix this?
