Retail online?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering… First of all, I work for a retail company, & I work on the website, which lets consumers view the products on our catalog. My boss wants a Retail website where clients & consumers can order through the internet. Could someone please tell me how I would go about doing this? Thank you.
