I was wondering if any of you have experience with displaying news from an RSS format in Flash?
If yes I would very much appreciate any hint/tutorial/source code examples so I can get started on my new project

I used:
XMLSA to handle the xml
mctween to make the scrolling sexy
kirupa’s custom scroll bar tutorial

Also, if your looking for a good read: 'PHP5 for Flash", published by Friends of Ed has an incredible tutorial about writing a Flash RSS application. The rest of the book is also very useful for beginners through intermediate dynamic curious flashers.
