Rss news ticker sandbox problem

so I wanted to make a news ticker that just runs the headlines from cnn’s rss feed. It works great on my own computer, but when I upload it to my website, it can’t load the link to the external site. I read up on it … something about ‘sandbox security’ … there are postings around the web about a php solution, but I really don’t know any php. Anyone know more about this subject?
