i have loaded a jpg file(a simple hat graphic) to a loader and added it inside a sprite. the jpg file also has a mask which is a gif file(black and white where the white area is the area that is occupied by the simple hat graphic and the rest is black, no transparent area in this gif), i loaded this gif also in another loader and put it in another sprite. masking the gif sprite to the jpg sprite will just make a rectangular mask for the jpg sprite, not as if it were cut through.
i have tried playing around blend modes but i don’t seem to get the right combination, or am i doing it right? i hope you get the idea. thanks
