I am in the process of developing my thesis project for my MFA interactive design candidate review with a focused topic on *Sonic Interactive Design. *I am hoping to argue in depth on the benefits of sonic interactive design within the educational system focusing on college freshman as my audience.
The project asks for a written that complements a visual prototype. My idea is to outline and present the idea of sonic interactive design as to why it benefits the learning process of students in today’s hi-tech society. My visual will be built using the WiiRemote and Flash CS 4 and Actionscript 3.0. It will involve a simple, yet authoritative study application that will function based on user memory and gesture input. The topic will include music theory and the example will be based on simple guitar scales allowing in a student study aid through memory, gesture, audio, and visual samples to reconstruct each scale.
