Scaling masking and loading

OK heres the deal

I have menu that adjusts the scale of a movie clip with easing. I want this movie clip to be a mask for jpegs that i load externally. Once I make the movie clip a mask it no longer works. What can I do. The source is at

i hate to bump so much but i am positive this is posible.
Is there an standard amount of bumps one is supposed to do before giving up? I don’t want to be bugging anyone.
