hi,
I have seen screen shots in different tutorials to show the work more easily. Is this part of the internet explorer that can be used in different programs or a specific software provides this function? Thank you in advance.
Its the Print Screen key.
On your keyboard there is a button, usually in the top row next to all the F# buttons (F1, F5, etc.) that says “Print Screen” on it (might say other stuff too). When you press it it captures whatever is shown in the monitor (hence ‘screen shot’).
Then you can open any image editing program, even something like Paint which is in Start --> Programs --> Accessories (if you are using Windows - I’m not sure about Mac). Open a new document and do a ‘Paste’. Then you can save that file and use it as you would any other jpg or whatever.
Hope this helps! :hr:
Sheesh. :sigh: One of these days I will learn to use fewer words!
great man. The other two keys next to it (scroll lock and pause break) doesn’t have anything to do with it does it?
I’m embarresed already… I might as well go all the way with it.
I guess live and learn applies here.
Nope! Just Print Screen then paste it into something and save it! And don’t be embarrased - asking questions is what these forums are here for!
ok, thanks again
or use ALT+Prnt Screen to get just the active window…
I use http://www.creativesoftworx.com/ and another very good one is HyperSnapDX…forgot the url…
Sweet! I never knew about the alt+printscreen! Thanks eyez! :thumb:
well, that’s nothing compared to what you can do with Capture Professional (link above), but at least it’s free…
$35! :!: :hair:
Yeah, I think I’ll stick with the good 'ol Print Screen lol!
Cool program though - does a lot for the price.
I use good old corel capture (9)
hyper-snap or fraps here. But does anyone know a way to set the print screen button up to save shots to a folder without using a secondary app? Cause that would be neat.
