Alright, well last night i was cleaning up my hard drive, clearing out space, deleting old files…etc. In Itunes i selected “consolidate library” because i thought it would put all my music into one folder, then i could delete my other folders (when i download songs they go to “new music” when i download torrents they go to “my torrents” then i manually add each folder). so i consolidated my library, checked to see if all my most recent songs i added to itunes were in there. It appeared that most everything was.
I deleted my “new music” folder and the music from “my torrents”. i was happy cuz i cleared up a few gigs of space. Today when i go into itunes I was scrolling through my library. ALOT of songs have that little ! beside them meaning that the source file could not be found. I tried to check where itunes consolidated my library to but in some of my artists(the ones that i added awhile ago) almost all the songs were gone! i emptied my recycling bin and all that crap too last night. **** YOU ITUNES!!!
anyone know what i can do? or have a program that i can recover the files that i deleted (even though i emptied the recycle bin?)
