Hello, I’m going to be building a scrolling interface, combined with random playing videos to be displayed on a LCD display in a lobby. Basically, it’s going to be pulling 3 variables (name of race, location & date) from eventually, a database, but for now, an Excel generated file for the scrolling portion. The videos will just be played in a random, looping order. What i need to accomplish is 1st, to load the variables into the proper fields on the scrolling portion (can be random order). Second, to get it to scroll from top to bottom smoothly. Lastly, loop the videos in a random order. Video player will be nested to the side of the scroller.
I’m familiar with Flash and AS3. But, I’ve never dealt with anything like this and am not sure where to begin. Any guidance or references will greatly help me. We’ve purchased a 52" LCD for the display and I’ve already designed the layout (Photoshop). Next step is this. Thanks to any and all for the help.
