Scrubbin' without slidin' - how is it done?

Hi there, just finished the Flash Video Basics tutorial on gotoandlearn.com. It also includes a custom scrubber, but the functionality is limited to drag-and-drop. However, when you check YouTube (not to mention the player on gotoandlearn.com itself), you can CLICK on a given point in the loadbar, and the playhead will jump to that spot. You don’t need to pick up the playhead and slide it to that point. Is there a tutorial which explains how to produce that effect? Any tips much appreciated
