no
so is the only way to do this by purchasing a program to do it like CopySafe Web for the web pags and CopySafe PDF for the PDF files?

Thanks!
CopySafe is no where near a viable solution. It’s not cross platform compatible AND it requires you to have CopySafe to read a CopySafe PDF. There is no good universal solution.
Thats good to know. So there isnt a solution using code or an existing program?
The only other things I have found were HTML Protector

and
PDF Encrypt & Decrypt 1.01:

neither of which sounded as promising as the CopySafe

I don’t think there is. What is the point of encrypting the pdf documents, or making it non-printable?
If the pdf is displayed on screen, I dont think there’s a way to make it non-printable. Because if you can display it to a computer screen, someone can hit printscreen and save the information anyway.
Also, I dont think there’s a good way to protect HTML. Your browser needs the HTML to display the webpage, so it can’t be encrypted or anything.
If security is a big issue, and you don’t want other people to
"sniff" the http stream, i’d consider using SSL to encrypt the communication between the server and the client. In IE7, can’t view source with SSL (not sure if FF works that way).
In order to view any web page or PDF, it has to be ‘saved’ to your computer. That is the nature of HTTP. The browser requests a file, and it is downloaded from the server and displayed on your computer.
