Seperate loaders for layout and pics

Hey, im making a little flash project, ive seen it on many sites where people have a loader to get to the main page so the layout all loads up, and then if you click on a button to see a picture the picture has its own loader and then the picture displays, ive tryed like so many different ways but my initial load bar loads the whole dam thing! and it takes bloody ages! does anyone know how i can see a totourial on this or download an example?
