I’ve been tinkering with some of the ways that are out there to load fonts into a .swf. I know about this and read over at actionscripts about [url=“http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=57453”]this but I’m still having difficulty with wrapping my brain around this.
I am building an application that has the option of 12 optional font choices and I don’t want to load them all at once in the main film. I would like to just load the font as necessary as requested by the user. Researching this (for a long time) just yeilds a lot of shared library mojo that never seems to work.
I was just wondering if someone has had any experience with any possible improvemnts in Flash 8 that might make things a little easier.
(oh and if you have any good links on anything help that doesn’t necessarily relate to Flash 8, thats usefull to :D)
It might be beating a dead horse, but I fail to see how one guy, the sharedfonts.com, has this working perfectly and I can’t find anywhere else on the net who knows how this is done!
