Hi,
Im trying to get my head around Flash using Shared Objects to hold scores etc on the users hard drive. Im getting there VERY slowly as I have a very limited understanding of Flash. Heres what Im trying to achieve…
I need a swf (or exe) scoreboard that the user can project to a screen and update scores which are then held as a shared object till it is opened again. Its use will be kids group games that run over a couple of days (like a camp scenario).
I just need some help getting the code right for the following…
I need a text box that the user can type numbers (scores) into. I dont need a button that ‘enters’ it, the user simply needs to enter the numbers and hit ‘enter’ on the keyboard. The score would then save to the shared object. All the tutorials seem to have me entering the text, hitting a button and then hitting another button to ‘read’ the data. I just want it to be entered and read by hitting the ‘enter’ key.
It seems simple in my head but I just cant make it work. kinda embarrasing. :crying:
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Barry
