Should I learn Flash Builder for small sites?

Hi! Maybe not the first time you receive a question like this… Sorry.

I’m thinking about what to learn next… Ruby on Rails, Flash Builder or AIR… Also, sadly, Flash Builder is not included in cs4 web premium, so I should buy it :m: … Another reason to think first…

Frankly, even if I quite know some capabilities of Flash builder, it’s still not clear to me (after years…) what’s the target of the application, for what kind of developers is addressed. I know it’s probably good for very big data driven web applications but don’t know if it’s better even for flash sites in general, of all sizes.

The bigger things I usually develop with Flash/AS3 are small websites, eventually with some xml driven news or product sections. For example:

http://www.myvice.eu/

or

http://www.peserico.it/

They usually run on 50-60 AS classes, some written site-specific, some that I made for general site development (preloaders, menu, scrollers, so on…) For this kind of flash sites, is it better to use flash or flash builder (flex)?

Most of the time I instead build xhtml/javascript (mootools) sites, that in general I consider a better solution.

Could you suggest me please?
