I’ve been asked to work on a 1 to many cam + chat room setup for an education service. It’s basically an online course, where the students will participate in a chat room, with the teacher, and be able to see the teacher. They are looking to have a few different courses, so there would be at most… 2 or 3 simultaneous sessions. I’ve looked into Flash Media Server, and I’m wondering if I would need FMS ($4,500) or if I would only need Flash Media Streaming Server ($999)… basically, I know that FMS will give me what I need, but can I get that same functionality out of FMSS? Also, would we need more then 1 license, or would 1 license be sufficient, and at what point would we potentially need additional licenses?
One last question, is there any other streaming server software that you would recommend, that might get me the desired results, at less cost?
