Hi. I have an issue that I need to address ASAP and I have no idea where to start - maybe all you smart Kirupians out there know what this is:
Have container mc - it’s the interface. This has buttons in it with the usual on(press) actions. Also has on the first frame, a regular loadMovie action, to load the first external mc.
Have externally loaded mcs.
Here’s the problem:
If you click a button, ANY BUTTON, before the first external mc is done loading, the external mc skips over and over again like a skipping cd. There is no way to make it stop except to close the browser window. Any other button you click while the skipping is happening loads the next mc, but then THAT mc skips!
This is NOT good and I have no idea what it could be, but it seems to happen quite a bit. It only happens when the files are posted to the server, can’t duplicate the problem locally.
I have a client who is dialing up and this happens to her consistently, because she clicks before the first external mc is done loading!
What is this?! I need to stop this from happening but I don’t even know why this happens! I’ve searched and searched and I’ve turned off the “loop” checkbox in dreamweaver, but it still happens.
