I’m still working on my rollover map which i had requested help on earlier. I have simplified my attachment to replace state/borough outlines with buttons.
My current plea for help is that i want to click on a state/borough (or in this case, button) and call up the relevant external text into the dynamic text pane. Furthermore, when the tab underneath the text pane is clicked i have an image pane which slides out from underneath to display an image (or two) if available.
I can load the image ok, and it slides out and fades in with the image pane, however i have been unable to make the image re-size to fit a predetermined image frame (which is important as i want non-tech types to be able to change the images without worrying about image size). When i have tried declaring image size it kind of works but then refuses to slide with the image pane and sits over the text. Also, if i click on another button when the pane is open, i would like it to close again without loading the next image first (see the attached flv for explanation).
The images are labelled after the buttons (eg button1.jpg, button2.jpg) and called using variables of this._name
I am wanting to do the same thing with the text but am not sure of how to call up the dynamic text in this way (eg. button1.txt, button2.txt), help would be much appreciated here as well.
