Although I’m using CS4 to set up a Flash site for my client, I’m using the code provided by Kirupa for creating both a photo gallery and photo slide show using XML. It works perfectly, so compliments in advance.
I have set up two separate galleries for this Website and each gives the user the choice of flipping through the photos manually (the photo gallery) or staying at the default state, which is the slide show. The user can toggle between whichever one they would like to use and on the time line I have frames labeled so you can jump for one to the other.
However, when you leave the slide show, after clicking on the button to get you to the manually controlled photo gallery, it takes you to the first picture, which is fine, but it advances one frame on its own. After that, it’s works manually as it suppose to. So basically you take control on the second picture.
I’m not the greatest AS2 writer. Is there a way to get the slide show to stop working (or thinking) once you’ve entered the manually-operated gallery?
