I have designed a menu that looks like this.
I basicly want it to behave like this lava manu here:

Except the background use a gradient that went from light green at ‘home’ to dark green at the end of ‘contact us’ so as you moused over the menu items the bar would move and shape like the lava bar but the background would also change since it was a gradient.
Any ideas how I might achieve this? Perhaps theres a way or creating a mask and masking the background to what ever is being displayed.
