While going through the tutorials on “Kirupa.com,” I attempted to combine the “Preloader Bar” with the “Snow Effect.” I had no problem doing each separately, but when combined, the “Snow Effect” became rather buggy.
The design:
a. preloader-bar occupies frame 1 and frame 2, moving to frame 3 when done loading.
b. snow-effect starts on frame 3.
c. ends of movie.
The problem:
a. the snow flakes do not fall down slowly; they disappear and reappear very quickly.
Possible solution:
a. if I span the snow-effect from frame 1 to frame 3, then the effect appears to be fine; however, I want the preloader-bar to be by itself and the main movie starts on frame 3 with the snow-effect as the background.
I’m using Flash MX 2004 Pro. I have tried running the movie under MX 2004 and regular MX formats, but both have not shown any noticeable differences.
Attached is the forementioned movie. Could someone help me resolve this problem?
