Sound Clips

Hello All…

I was just wondering if any of you could reccomend a nice site where they had some ‘quality’ sound clips for my flash projects. Thanks in advance. (Can you move me if I should be in a different forum)

I’d recommend http://www.flashkit.com . They have a whole bunch of different sound loops and sound fx.

When downloading them there…which would you say is the best format… ‘wav’ ‘mp3’ or ‘flashtrak’ ?? Looks like a good site so far. Thanks for the tip.

Well it depends on your own preference…

  • wav files are much larger than mp3 files so they could bump your file size up a bit, but they have better quality.

  • mp3 files are just compressed versions of wav files so their quality is a bit lower, but sometimes you can barely tell.

  • flashtrak files are custom formatted swf files that are played using the flashkit’s flashtrak players.

So in your situation, you should be using either wav or mp3. =)
