Hello all. Another week, another tripping point!
I’m working on the following file for an in-house promotion, and I am having some problems with the sound control.
First off, I have the six sound clicks that play on mouse-over. All of them have been trimmed and re-cut outside of Flash in order to make them seamlessly loop, although in the final piece, they are meant to play once, and not loop. In the “rockout” movie symbol, I have 7 frames. Frame 1 is the “landing frame” where there are no sounds, animation, etc. Frames 2 - 7 each have a frame into which I have dragged and dropped the sound clip, but for some reason, in the final result, Flash cuts off the first bit of the sound loop, I can’t figure out why. The music should be starting on the downbeat, but instead Flash is clipping off the first little piece and it’s starting the clips on the upbeat instead.
Secondly, I want to put a button in the bottom left for turning off all global sounds, but because of the structure of the files and movies, when I mouse-over the links, the sounds still play. I followed a Google search to a link about GET/POST and using local variables for handling the sound level, but I haven’t been able to get it to work the way I want.

Would anyone mind taking a look at the files, and giving me a hand here? I would really appreciate your input and suggestions.
