As a Flash Developer at space150, you will be a valued member of our Creative Tech team. Creative Tech is a progressive, forward-thinking team that is responsible for the front-end development of all of space150’s interactive initiatives. Creative Tech is at the hub of all projects; team members work with a variety of internal groups including Design, Project Management, Information Architecture, and Tech. Team members are a vital part of the project lifecycle, and actively contribute to crafting high-quality interactive experiences.
Required Skills:
-Writes clean, efficient, and concise code
-Able to work with other team members on a single code base
-Willing to edit existing code, and able to interpret existing logic
-Willing to develop using AS2 & AS3
-Makes responsible decisions that are considerate of timelines, milestones, and budget
-Able to clearly explain technical issues to other departments through written and verbal communication
-Highly organized
-Maintains a positive, friendly attitude
-Can solve usability problems
-Has a portfolio that contains at least 5 pieces of representative work
Desired Skills:
-Has experience using 3rd party libraries (e.g., Tweener)
-Has experience with Subversion
-Possesses animation skills and an understanding of visual rhythm
-Is resourceful and enjoys sharing knowledge with other team members
-Understands fundamental design and typography principles
-Has previous experience working within an agency environment
-Has experience designing and developing sites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-Maintains attention to detail when translating design decisions into code
-Understands FAUST and concepts of progressive enhancement
-Has 3-5 years of development experience
