I am working on a project which makes use of a lot of as 1 code, and is published for flash player 5. I built a menu, which loads some of these files in at runtime. I overlooked the fact that these as1 files make use of text files to load external data and they contain special characters. When loading these as1 swf’s into the menu, which is built in as2, the special characters do not display correctly.
Is there perhaps a workaround for this, or do I have to build the menu using as1?
